TMJ pain

Ihave been having pain in and around my ears for about 3 months now. I have been diagnosed with ear infections, sinus infection, allergies, migraines....you name it. Headaches so bad I have been in the e.r. I've been to an ENT, my PCP, and one dentist. I have all the symptoms of TMJ. I have a dentist appt on the 23rd but was wondering if my PCP if I went back and asked if it was that, could treat it. I really need something for the excruciating headaches I get!

Hello, well first all before you try any TMJ solutions, you need to make sure that your ENT and PCP has thoroughly ruled out any other medical condition much more dangerous than TMJ.

Next, You want to try the modified mouth guard as I describe on my TMJ Appliance page. Be exact when you follow the instructions. Eight teeth is ideal for most situations. If that doesn't work, look for a local dentist to try the NTI night guard. Either of those mouth guards can reduce pain fast.

Now, of course the night guard methods are mainly for temporary relief. You might need to see your local TMJ Dentist to diagnose the real cause of your pains.
