Sickle Cell numb lip
by: Dr. Spainhower

Hello Tasheika,

As you know Sickle Cell anemia is a blood disorder where the sickle cells break apart and die. The dead cells can cause a blockage in the blood vessals, and a numb lip is a symptom of SCA.

Treatment of TMJ syndrome unfortunately will not affect the numb lip.

I know you've probably already done this, but I will have to refer you to consult your doctor.

Sorry to hear about your pain and frustrations.
