Hi - I have a couple of auto-immune disorders and now my mouth only opens far enough to squeeze my thumb in. I have to go to the dentist because my filling came out. Are they going to be able to work on my teeth with such a small opening? thanks
If you have Trismus or Lock jaw, your Dentist probably won't be able to work on your back teeth. If you need work on your front teeth, that is possible. But, if you can't open more than a thumbs width, then call them and let them know. Hopefully you can go in for a pre-op check of your lock jaw.
